Questions, answered
Do you really take no cut of my sales?
Correct. You connect your own Stripe or Square account and client payments route straight to you — Tobren is never in your payment flow and takes no fee on sales. You pay only your subscription (plus Stripe or Square's own processing fees).
Is my card charged during the free trial?
No. Nothing is charged for 14 days, and you can cancel before then without being billed. Start your trial from any link on this page and you won't be asked for a card at all — add one whenever you're ready to continue past day 14.
What happens when the free trial ends?
Nothing is charged — there's no card on file to charge — and nothing is deleted. Pick a plan whenever you're ready. If you do nothing, we email you and hold the account for a week; after that it goes read-only. Your files stay exactly where they are, and picking a plan brings everything back.
Can I move to the free plan instead of paying?
Yes — Free is a real plan, not a countdown, and it never expires. It is deliberately small: one active shoot, 250 photos, 3 GB, one seat, photos only, and a “Powered by Tobren” badge on the gallery. It is sized to finish one job, not to run a studio on. If your trial workspace is larger than that, moving down still deletes nothing — your files stay put and we sort the details out with you before anything changes.
Can I use my own domain?
Yes. A branded subdomain is included on every plan, and a bring-your-own custom domain is available on Professional and above for $3.99/mo ($3.39 annual).
Can I sell to people who aren't my invited clients?
Yes. Alongside invite-only client galleries, you can publish public galleries at a shareable link — post it on your site or socials and anyone can browse. Keep it free and open, or watermark it and price photos to sell; buyers only create an account at checkout, and payment still goes straight to your own Stripe or Square. Add a password or private link if you want it gated.
Photos only, or video too?
Both. Tobren watermarks photo and video automatically, with pay-to-unlock or prepaid delivery configurable per shoot.
How long do my galleries stay online?
As long as you want. Set a default for your whole workspace — including never expire, so nothing ever comes offline — and override it on any individual shoot. When a shoot is set to expire, Tobren Deliver emails you and your customers a week beforehand, and shoots with purchases keep an archive record of who bought what. Your order and payment history is never removed.
Who owns the photos I upload?
You do. Tobren never claims ownership of your media and never uses it to train AI models.
